Lake Hereshaska (Dohiaska, Orat) is one of the largest glacial lakes in the Ukrainian Carpathians.
The northern shores are overgrown with sedges. The lake is fed by rainwater. The water temperature is low, even in summer it does not rise above15 degrees. Due to this fact, the flora and fauna of Dohiaska are rather poor. There are various aquatic weeds, microscopic crustaceans, leeches and other tiny invertebrates; it is a breeding site of the alpine newt (Mesotriton alpestris) and the Carpathian newt (Lissotriton montandoni).
The lake is situated near the Drahobrat ski resort.
