The Mount is located in Rakhiv district, Zakarpattia region, on the border of Ukraine and Romania. There are two mounts in the Carpathians with the same name “Pip Ivan”, that’s why each of them has its own territorial specification – Pip Ivan Chornohirskyi and Pop Ivan Marmaroskyi.
Altitude – 1,936 m. The mount has sharp ranges, steep slopes, and rocky ledges.
The shape of the peak is pyramidal; the northern and eastern slopes are steep. Small lakes can appear around the mountain seasonally.

Pop Ivan Marmaroskyi is one of the few peaks of our Carpathians, where the vegetation of alpine meadows is perfectly preserved.
